Acco was
developing a new generation professional stapler with a very unique
look
and needed help making sure that:

The internal
mechanism fit
correctly inside a carefully styled enclosure
-
All of the tooling
& molding
were going to be done offshore, and they wanted to be absolutely sure
that
the quality of the enclosure was not going to be compromised by the
toolmaker.
This was going to be an expensive product, and they wanted it to look
&
feel that way.

The project deadline
was set
in stone with only a few weeks left to go.
We took the existing
design,
which was just an external shell, added all the mechanical components
(including
a novel staple storage drawer) and made sure that all the external
mechanical
features such as buttons, drawer, paper guide etc.. were integral to
the
design. The result was an award winning high quality office product,
that
is distinctly different.
